When I started out, it was with the clear intention of becoming established as an avid exponent of wordsmithy; the handiwork
being either a screenplay or a novel. Yet, as the struggle developed, it became apparent to me that in these post-modern
times, there's more to being a Writer than merely posting a screenplay, or publishing a novel.
Truly, the Nobel laurete Sir Vidia is a genius. For, in the myriad convolutions I underwent for the sake of my love of
writing, it became all too clear to me that his perspicacious observations on the demise of the novel, or of all fiction for
that matter, were smack on target.
Hence, now onwards, everything is in a flux. It is like the battlefield, with a shifting scenario full of self-contradictions;
where the only certainty is challenge.
So, when I speak of my screenwriting career, it is not in the conventional sense of minting screenplays on my laser printer
in industrial terms. Rather, like post-modern war, I am a screenwriter who must use my talent in any and every way possible,
through creative brainstorming.
Therefore, even as you observe how my situation develops, and follow my futures through their intricacies; you will be able to trace a discernable pattern through all these convolutions, and finally comprehend that at the
root of all that effort is the genius of a screenwriter at work.
